"If we enjoy sweetness for a very long time
Without ever tasting a little bit of bitterness
The World will tire one easily
He who has never experienced difficulty before,
Can never truly appreciate the sweetness of opulence.
Ifa was divined for Onyagbe
Who had a vast farm
Who says,
"If there had been rainfall
through out the year,
The world would have been enjoyable"
Holy Odu Irosun Iwori"
It is no news that all is not well with the world, poverty, oppression, exploitation and general suffering of people are theorder of the day. In the midst of the worst of situations, Ifa directs us to wear the crown of Iwapele (gentle character) for it is gentle character that strengthens the rope of life in our hands and see us through the good and bad seasons without losing sight of or connection with our Ori. The Holy Odu Irosun Iwori declares that we have all been divinely chosen to play specific roles in liberating and uplifting humanity and to multiply in that which we lay our hearts and hand to do. No one can reach the pinnacle of thier purpose or quest of spiritual enlightenment until we achieve harmony, balance and peace in our internal and external worlds. In all we face as we journey towards destiny, Orunmila admonishes us to suffer without surrendering and to put on the armour of perseverance and steadfastness, we should remain seasoned for the best and geared for the worst. "Afterall, a constant soldier is never unready not even once."
